The Triple Door’s opening weekend to “Bohemia” – the absinthe & fairy-inspired burlesque cabaret musical dinner show. Talented performance but wish there was more of a plot. Dvorak, chopin, pasties oh my!
Village Theatre’s opening weekend to “I Do! I Do!” – a musical celebrating innocent, old-timey (thus passion-less) love & marriage. Kinda anti-feminist. Well-executed but would be better w/ more than 2 characters.
Watched “The Wizard of Oz” musical at the Pantages Theater in Siberia (aka Tacoma) amid the viaduct closure on a school night! For a national tour, it was no “Wicked” or “The Wiz.” Cheesy projections, corny writing, & “eh” music but great costumes & set. This friend of dorothy went over the rainbow!
Last day of the sold-out Charles Shultz “Charlie Brown Christmas” stage adaption at Taproot Theatre. I need to stop seeing kid-friendly shows. Nice how the schroeder character accompanied the musical (or play?).
Yippee ki yay! Attended the sold-out stage musical adaptation of “Die Hard,” “A Very Die Hard Christmas,” at Seattle Public Theater. Probably would have enjoyed it more if I watched the original movie. Cheesy & corny! #johnmcclane
