Closing weekend to “Marie – Dancing Still” with 5th Avenue Theatre. The ballet theme lent a unique beautiful graceful elegance to this musical. Side note, this was the first time I’ve attended a professional show that abruptly paused midway for technical difficulties!
Watched “Annie The Musical” with Andres and Eyal on a school night. As always, *Daddy* Warbuck’s obsession with Annie was a bit disturbing. So much fodder for innuendo. Top notch performance though.
Watched the Tony Awards-winning musical Come From Away. It’s a beautiful story that celebrates humanity’s spirit of generosity and kindness after 9/11 in a Love Actually way.
Watched The Hunchback of Notre Dame: The Musical. This tragedy ain’t your grandma’s Disney version (but they share many songs). The star actor playing the hunchback was deaf (with a surrogate singer) & the cast signed the dialogue/lyrics. Very elaborate music score.
