Watched the play The Crucible. Entirely riveting performance about the Salem witch trials. The inquisition-like hypocrisy of organized religion is disgusting. Kind of also reminded me of how SDAs are taught to fear the Sunday law and end of times.

Free waitlist tickets to the sold-out performance of Spring Awakening with Paul. Talented promising actors. Novel economical staging elements. But too dark, emo, and angsty. Teenagers! Was I ever this dramatic?
Watched The Last 5 Years musical. Two performers took turns accompanying each other while recounting memories of their relationship. Great piano score. Confusing timeline.
Attended the opening night of Something Rotten! musical featuring Adam Pascal. It’s like The Producers and Spamalot had a baby. So many theatre references that I probably wouldn’t have enjoyed it as much if I didn’t see so many musicals.
