The Chinese Lady – Play – Mini Review – ArtsWest and Yun Theatre

Congrats to ArtsWest & Yun Theatre on the sold-out closing weekend of Lloyd Suh’s The Chinese Lady. Starring Zoe Ding & Sebastian Wang. Searing look at the zoo-like exoticism & carnival-like otherism (dare I say “fetishization”) forced upon Asian Americans leaving you to ponder what else gets lost in translation as a specimen. Adair MacCormack’s veil curtain design was a nice visual touch. In-person tickets may open up at the box office before the last performance tomorrow.
