“Shout Sister Shout!” gospel musical w/ dad at Seattle Repertory Theatre. Dynamite music & voices! Takes me back to my conservative Southern religious upbringing. It’s unfortunate that church-inspired condemnation & guilt back then is still pervasive today.
Stephen Sondheim’s “Assassins” at SecondStory Repertory. Rich talented voices. But no plot. Not sure what message this musical was trying to convey. Maybe pro gun control? #murder
“Austen’s Pride: A New Musical of Pride and Prejudice” at The 5th Avenue Theatre. Well-portrayed Miss Bingley & Lady Catherine de Bourgh. Good theater company but sadly a tepid musical. #JaneAusten #MrDarcy
