Priscilla Queen of the Desert: The Musical – Mini Review – Bainbridge Performing Arts

Closing performance of Priscilla Queen of the Desert – The Musical with Paul, Andres, and Bobby. 4 queens traveled from Seattle to Bainbridge Island to see 3 drag queens travel through the Australian desert! It was no Kinky Boots, but it was still very fun.

The Crucible – Play – Mini Review – ACT Theatre

Watched the play The Crucible. Entirely riveting performance about the Salem witch trials. The inquisition-like hypocrisy of organized religion is disgusting. Kind of also reminded me of how SDAs are taught to fear the Sunday law and end of times.

Sister Act – Musical – Mini Review – Cornish Playhouse

Watched the stage version of Sister Act. Loved the groovy disco vibe, witty quips, and hilarious songs. Well-written and strong performance overall. But the individual actors by themselves were not showstopping. Also, I’m pretty sure Seattle’s ethnic shortage forced the production’s casting to be more “colorblind.”
